I am pleased to provide this letter of recommendation for Sabit, with whom I had the privilege of working throughout my tenure at KPO. I worked at KPO from 2017 to 2023, initially as Maintenance Development Spt, then as Planning Manager, and subsequently as Maintenance Development Manager for nearly five years. During this entire period, Sabit was one of my direct reports and one of the most valuable professionals I had the opportunity to work with. From the very beginning of our collaboration, Sabit became a key reference point for the Spare Parts Department. Together, we assessed the KPO operational environment, identified critical bottlenecks, and developed a structured roadmap to resolve existing challenges and establish more efficient, streamlined, and intuitive processes. Sabit consistently demonstrated a collaborative attitude, openness to change, and, above all, a strong desire to continuously expand his technical and managerial knowledge. Over the years, he proved himself to be a highly capable professional with outstanding leadership qualities, including: - Strong ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives. - Excellent follow-up and execution of assigned activities. - A broad and strategic understanding of business processes and their interdependencies. - Effective leadership and mentoring capabilities toward his direct reports. - A strong results-oriented mindset combined with a commitment to continuous improvement. With Sabit's significant contribution, we successfully achieved several important milestones, including: - Reducing inventory value by more than USD 23 million. - Developing and implementing Bills of Materials (BOMs) for all equipment identified during new projects, including OEM part numbers, material coding, and reorder levels. - Establishing and implementing strategic Framework Agreements with key suppliers. - Reviewing and optimizing the material request process across KPO. The confidence I developed in Sabit's professional and managerial capabilities was such that, upon the conclusion of my assignment at KPO, I recommended him as my potential successor should the company decide to nationalize my position. I am confident that Sabit would be a valuable asset to any organization and I recommend him without reservation for roles requiring strong technical expertise, leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive organizational improvement.

Sabit rereported to me in his role as Materials Management Superintendent for the Karachaganak Petroleum Operating JV (KPO) between 2017 and 2022. In his role he was responsible for managing material demand and stock levels for all of Production and Operations within KPO. KPO has ~4000 employees, producing more than 400k BOE of gas and condensate daily, while managing significant risk due to high H2S levels and >450 barg reinjection facilities. It consists of 5 main processing facilities situated across a large geographical area, with a complex management structure and multi-stakeholder production agreements. During my time working with Sabit, I found him to be hard working, with an improvement mindset that was always looking to learn. He contributed to several improvement programs, including the drive to reduce contract award time through more effective planning and integration with our Business Services, and the introduction of Framework Agreements as part of KPO’s maturity journey. Sabit’s greatest strength, while working in the Maintenance Development department, was his ability to lead, inspire and motivate a team. We had a number of reorganisations which Sabit was directly involved in, and in some cases led. I was continuously impressed with his humility and the way he engaged his team. He managed performance issues well, turning people around and helping them to grow, as well as identifying future leaders and positioning them to gain experience and eventually move into Team Lead roles. Sabit has a natural empathy with his team members, consistently adapting his style to the individual, while maintaining strength in leadership and direction.
